first of all, if i had money, i'd hire you to come sort through my stuff. i SAVE everything, and intend to get it filed (i have old checks from god knows when), but i never do. it most certainly is never DONE.

and i hear you about corporate america. i'd come up with new ways to do things, and NOPE. couldn't do it. the last corporate job i had, they wanted this one task done, but they wouldn't let me determine what to get rid of, and it was always waiting on the president, who was ridiculously busy. it drove me NUTS.

yeah, i hear you about all of it. and i have tons of weird stuff -- one macaroni noodle comes out of the pan not with the rest of them, i'll pick it up off the floor and eat it right there so 'it doesn't feel bad.'

i definitely think i have OCD tendencies, but as the doc said ... if it doesn't interfere with your life, it's okay. when it does, that's a problem. if you could never leave your house without cleaning something up and you were perpetually late, or never left at all. that sort of thing.

it's interesting to see all the weird stuff people have. there was a great comment thread about this on "one good thing."

Good lord. No wonder you hated coaching soccer. You're like the anal-retentive chef from SNL.

I sympathize completely about the whole organizational thing. I was the same way with my collections as a kid.

It was always funny to walk into the apt on Howe St. and look at the coffee table. It was obvious that Matt had been watching television on the sofa if all of the remote controls and magazines were neatly lined up and nothing was situated at an angle.
